Spring Into Bulb Season

Here are my spring planning tips:

Look for spots in your landscape where bulbs can brighten up or add color.
Look for gaps where some bulbs have stopped performing or you didn’t put enough in to begin with.

Don't buy too many different bulbs when starting. Have success with 3-4 varieties first by planting these in larger quantities. Fifteen snowdrops or grape hyacinths will have no effect. Better to order 150 of each and 150 daffodils in a color you like and start with those.
Order bulbs for your conditions. Like most plants, sun-loving bulbs won’t grow in shade. If you have lots of deer or moles, don’t plant tulips.
